Tempest seals fitted with the 3088 compression bulb insert are designed for rebated meeting stiles on pairs of doors, most commonly French doors or similar installations where the door leaf and frame sit flush. The compression bulb provides effective sealing where controlled compression is required, making it suitable for applications where smoke, gas, and air leakage control is important.
When used alongside appropriate stop and threshold seals, the 3088 insert delivers reliable sealing performance while accommodating natural movement between door leaves. Its flexible neoprene bulb ensures consistent contact and long-term durability, even under repeated use.
The Tempest base holder is screw-fixed to the required surface and securely accepts the 3088 insert. Fixings are concealed by a clip-on cover section, available in ribbed or piped finishes to coordinate with Sealmaster threshold systems. For example, Tempest SKS/3088 is designed to match Cyclone TDS/WDS thresholds.
