The Hurricane 3014 is an angled blade seal insert designed for use with Hurricane aluminium stop seal carriers. Installed as part of a Hurricane sealing system, it provides an effective barrier against air, smoke, gas, light, and sound leakage around windows and doors.
Manufactured from durable elastomer material, the 3014 is particularly suited to applications where enhanced acoustic performance is required. When used within a Hurricane rebated seal system, it can help achieve sound reduction improvements of up to Rw = 10dB, making it ideal for environments where noise control is important.
Its angled blade profile flexes easily on contact, helping to maintain consistent sealing pressure while accommodating minor variations in frame and sash alignment. This makes the 3014 especially suitable for casement windows with cranked hinges and other applications requiring reliable all-round sealing.
Compatible with both rebated and surface-fixed Hurricane carriers, the 3014 is suitable for new installations as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects. The insert fits securely into the aluminium carrier and can be easily replaced without removing the holder, allowing for simple maintenance and long-lasting performance.
